CE marking is a mandatory European marking to indicate conformity with the essential health and safety requirements outlined in European Directives. To permit the use of CE marking, proof that the product meets the relevant requirements must be documented. The organization has to issue a Declaration of Conformity noting identity, location and relevant information including a list of standards the product complies with. A legally binding signature is also required.

CE Certification is required for all recreational boats entering or being sold in the European Union. AAC Marine Surveyor Captain A.
